For 40 years, the Troy Victorian Stroll has been a community holiday tradition that transforms the streets of historic downtown Troy into the old-time Victorian era. On Dec. 3, residents and visitors gathered to enjoy the historic City of Troy, bringing the streets alive with music, food and fun.
Students from the HVCC Honors College had a fantastic experience helping out with the festivities. They welcomed guests, distributed maps and schedules, and kept track of ballots for the window decorating contest. The rain and wind certainly did not deter them from their tasks, while the delicious hot chocolate provided by The Salvation Army and cheerful holiday tunes played by Saxo Claus (yes, a saxophone playing Santa Claus!) brought even more delight to the day.
The event was certainly enjoyed by all, and a wonderful way for our students to give back to their community!
